(Hope you're all eating good food this week with family and friends ❤️ ❤️ )

*********

Hello hello MDBC :)) hope you're all having a relaxing reading week (or somewhat relaxing at least if you're catching up/prepping for more midterms) Sorry for the late post! Thanksgiving weekend was hectic (as I'm sure it was for most of you), but luckily, the majority of you are already on the Discord server and so you know all about the fun events we've got planned for you this week!

(In case you weren't already in the loop, that's your subtle nudge to join the server for more updates ;))

Either way, here is what the rest of the week will look like! (Please keep in mind that there's no drylands/pool practices for this week still)

#mdbc-moves is still running for the rest of this week! This is a great challenge to get you up and moving during your reading week! Feel free to share your favourite activities (i.e. runs, hikes, and rides) with the rest of the MDBC community, meet new people who might be doing the same thing, and motivate each other to new fitness levels. To take part, send in photos, routes, PRs, and more to the #mdbc-moves channel on our Discord server. We can't wait to see what you guys are getting up to during this week!

Try out a yoga video specially made for dragonboaters! Tried and tested by your fellow MDBC members, this video is sure to help you after the first two weeks of pool practices and drylands. Yoga is a great way to support your dragonboat training by actively recovering sore muscles, increasing mobility, and even working in some strength work. Make sure to give it a try and let us know how it goes! (Or better yet, update us through the #mdbc-moves channel ;))

And last but not least, even though we aren't holding drylands/pool practices throughout this week, we will be offering an optional zoom dryland workout on Friday October 14th 10:00 AM! If possible, please bring a weight to the dryland (dumbbells work great, but if you're really feeling nostalgic for that one time during quarantine when all fitness supplies were sold out, feel free to grab any household object that might work in it's place!) You can also try out the workout on your own if you can't make it, by following along with this dryland plan.

Other than that, we hope you're taking this time to rest up and eat well so we can all come back even stronger next week :))

Let it run!
